Thanks to Jim Thompson for helping us to identify this:
as a “breast strap slip” (see the Sears and Roebuck catalog). It is used on a harness, below the collar
And thanks again to Mr. Thompson for identifying this:
as the remaining part of a hame, now that the wooden part has rotted away. A horse or mule would have one of these on each side of their collar.

as a shutter dog, used to hold back exterior window shutters

Item No. 3 looks like a “shutter dog,” a fixture used to hold back exterior house shutters.
